Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin, Minister of Science and Higher Education, presented the Minister’s Awards for 2015 during the ceremony held on December 9th, 2016 at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. The head of the Ministry of Science emphasized that the winners gathered in the hall determine the future of the country.
The Minister of Science and Higher Education Awards are given annually for outstanding scientific or scientific-technical achievements (in three categories: basic research, research for the development of society, and research for the development of the economy), for outstanding scientific achievements, for achievements in scientific and educational supervision, for lifetime scientific contributions, and for scientific, educational, and organizational achievements.
The winners also included scientists from Wrocław. They constituted a large group representing the Wrocław academic community in various fields of science.
The team award for teaching achievements, including innovative methods of conducting classes with EDUball educational balls and innovative preparation of teaching materials, was awarded to employees of the Wroclaw University of Health and Sport Sciences:
